3. Prepare G-code using Cura LulzBot

Once you have done with 3D modeling or editing you will need to prepare your model for 3D printing.

To prepare our model we have used Cura LulzBot Editon software, and here are the details:

Export hour 3D model in STL format.
For LulzBot TAZ 6 3D printer use those settings:

• Rafts: No
• Support: No
• Build plate adhesion: Skirt
• Infill: 20%
• Profile: Normal (0.25 mm)
• Material: PLA (3 mm)

Time to print the bottom: 1h 47m
Time to print the cover: 2h 49m

Note

The color of the PLA plastic needs to be white for the cover of the housing because you build a lamp and you need transparency.
